Introduction

Swissôtel The Stamford and Fairmont Singapore, prestigious properties managed by AccorHotels Asia-Pacific, embarked on an ambitious renovation project to redefine the essence of luxury hospitality. This extensive endeavour involved updating over 2,000 rooms across three interconnected towers, with Swissôtel The Stamford standing out as the seventy-storey skyscraper. Conducted in phases over a span of seven years, the project aimed to seamlessly integrate cutting-edge amenities while maintaining the hotels’ commitment to heritage, sustainability, and innovation.

Creating the right environment

Mint Building Services was instrumental in the comprehensive mechanical upgrades critical for enhancing both Swissôtel The Stamford and Fairmont Singapore. This work included the overhaul of the mechanical infrastructure in Swissôtel The Stamford, along with updates to the cooling systems in the Fairmont North and South Towers. These enhancements were designed to elevate guest comfort and operational efficiency, reflecting Mint's support for the hotels’ dedication to environmental stewardship and superior guest service.

Engineering excellence in action

The project commenced with the mechanical infrastructure renewal for the Fairmont North Tower in May 2014, providing a foundation for the wider refurbishment effort. Mechanical system installations for the Equinox Restaurant at Swissôtel in September 2014 showcased Mint’s capability in handling intricate projects within high-rise environments. A significant milestone was achieved in November 2017 with the replacement of mechanical infrastructure in Swissôtel The Stamford, alongside the cooling system upgrade in the Fairmont towers. These projects demonstrated Mint's thorough planning and execution skills, ensuring minimal disruption to hotel operations while navigating the complexities of modernising the establishments’ mechanical systems.
