Located in the Biopolis hub, the 180,000 sq ft facility was set to house nearly 200 scientists, engineers, and business leaders by 2016, with an expansion plan to grow the workforce to over 300 employees by 2020. Mint Building Services was entrusted with delivering the complete mechanical and electrical (M&E) services for the DuPont Regional Headquarters, executed in three phases between 2016 and 2021 over a total build-out area of 180,000 sq ft. The project encompassed a broad scope including office spaces and laboratories, emphasizing the need for a highly functional, safe, and innovative environment. The facilities were designed to foster collaboration among DuPont’s teams and facilitate cutting-edge research and development, demonstrating Mint’s capability to create environments that align with the client’s vision of innovation and leadership in the industry.

The M&E services provided by Mint were crucial in ensuring the functionality and safety of the new headquarters. The comprehensive scope of work included electrical installation for power distribution and lighting, air conditioning and mechanical ventilation installation, plumbing and drainage, fire protection system modification, public address system modification, specialty gas installation, utility gas installation, and security and access control systems. Mint’s workmanship and meticulous attention to detail were pivotal in adhering to the high standards expected by DuPont, especially given the complexity of integrating these systems within a space designed for scientific research and corporate operations.
